sadly, it's not even worded such that you can inform eBay to get them to yank it. Someone should email him and ask him if he thinks the card is legit or not. If he tries to pass it off as legit and it's only for a buck or two, buy it just to be able to leave negative feedback for trying to pass off fake cards as legit

Perhaps there's a linear relationship between the darkness of printing (contrast) and the authenticity of the card???

Yes, there is. Any time you make a copy of something the quality is never as good as the original. This is true of photographs, printed images, and even text.

With these cards, the lack of detail in the image is a good indication they may not be first generation images.

Would you issue cards with your company name on them with that poor of an image?
