Default BODA still at work, fake autograph cards exposed

On and on and on, as the Abba song goes. Will there ever be a day of reckoning? Rhetorical.

Do I appreciate BODA and others bringing things like this to light?

(in keeping with the ABBA theme) I do, I do, I do, I do, I do.

Would that these criminals met their Waterloo. But they won't, they'll just go on flaunting us and chumming up to the TPGs and AHs. That's the name of the game. Knowing me and knowing you, we may be among the few left who care.,

Imagine the $#!T they'd pull if nobody took the time to point out their shenanigans.

I believe there are many hobbyists here on Net54 who care. Maybe they don't post about it publicly; however, it makes sense that people would care about crooks trying to rip them off. The more info that's out there, the better.

Personally, I don't collect modern autographed thing-a-ma-jigs. If people are counterfeiting and/or selling fake cards, though, shine a spotlight on them.

Maybe Eric, but I'd be willing to bet very few people are doing any more due diligence on purchases than they did before the scandal hit, which means just looking at the flip.

You're probably right about that.

For those of us who dig a little deeper, though, the info that's out there is a great help.

Agreed. The Tiffany Cards databases are fantastic, and checking adjacent certs on the PSA website is time consuming but can be informative. So too can just LOOKING closely at the card.
