Default Proceed with caution...fake green Cobbie?

Perusing the local auctions, found this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1910-T206-Ty...4AAOSwEjFXdG41

Obviously seller makes mention it could be fake, selling as a reprint. However, because of the magic powers of a PSA case, card is already past 1k. I checked the cert. number here:
http://www.psacard.com/cert/07115407/

Card should be a Sweet Cap 350/30....Additionally, the card was identified as re-holstered with a hologram. The eBay auction lacks this. Proceed with caution!

The seller is a member here and I think he's being honest as possible.

BTW, why is Shag crying in your avatar?

I have nothing against the seller personally, I'll adjust the title so it doesn't look so intimidating. I apologize for any distress that may have caused.

To be honest he should remove the PSA slab and sell straight out as a reprint without any wording that leaves any doubt.

Here is the real one that goes with that slab:

2013: http://www.robertedwardauctions.com/.../2013/193.html

+1 To leave it in that slab is pretty iffy

After seeing a scan of the real card, I agree.

Honest as possible? This is the same thing that has been discussed on several Net54 threads. Ambiguous wording that leaves doubt it the mind of the bidder, and hope that it might be real. This member here most likely got scammed, and is trying to pass his misfortune on to someone else. I find the fact that a Net54 member is doing this, and that another seems to condone it very sad.

And I find the first grade reading comprehension level here really sad. Look at my follow-up post (#6). When I made my first comment, I thought the seller was trying to be honest about a card he'd bought. Then I saw the pics that Andy posted and changed my mind. I'm not condoning it.

IMHO, the card needs to be removed from the slab and sold as a reprint. I don't see this ending well for the seller (and as stated before is a board member here)

cmon bpencil..lets hear the story how you got the card so everyone can learn from it...

plus the listing is really dishonest 'if im wrong you get a great deal' As you can see the real card already from an prior sale at an AH. That at least should be mentioned in the ad about the reality of the likelihood of fake. Instead of saying 'if im wrong' you need to say 'if this prior sale at an AH of a different card all together is wrong' Let people decide what to bid on it then...This needs to be put in the trash.

It doesn't take a second grade reading comprehension level to see that your first post does condone the listing. It's clear from NJ's post and the link provided that the card is fake, and yet you still post the seller was trying to be honest.

I didn't have all the information when I made my first comment. Read my second comment where I changed my opinion on the matter and agree with Andy after I saw the pics.

Furthermore, I didn't say a second grade reading comprehension level, I said first grade. Thanks for proving my point.

Yes you said I only had a first grade reading comprehension level, which is why I said a second grade level would not be necessary to see how clueless your first post was. Looks like your reading comprehension skills also need some work.

Are first graders required to use "eye black"?

Oops, wrong thread.
