Default Images on 1951 Connie Mack All Star Cards

Posted By: Colt McClelland

Does anyone know if the images on the 1951 Connie Mack All Star cards can be found on any pre-war cards issued when these players were actually active? Seems like a lot of the images from the era in which most of these players played were recycled on different issues. Just curious as to what the origin of these images used by Topps in 1951 might be. Here is a link to the images:

Can't anyone here help me locate any of these cards?

I was under the impression that a lot of you are big time dealers and or collectors? You mean to tell me that nobody here knows where I could find  the 1951 Topps Major League All Stars? Rob

If you are looking to buy them, Rob, have you tried eBay or the B/S/T? If you only want to look at some try the link above or the OBC images project, Old Cardboard or other sources.

1951 Topps cards are generally outside of my experience range, Rob. Are you looking to buy or looking to look, or other?

Scarce cards, rare in ex+, unfolded condition. I own a punched out Matty, an ex Wagner,Speaker,J. Collins, and E. Collins. They occasionally pop up on the bay.

Connie Mack All Stars are tough, but not that difficult. I have owned a few. Major League All-Stars, on the other hand are much much much tougher. Never have owned one of those. Rarely seen them. I believe that a complete set sold in the last Mastro?
