Default Good experience w/ MEARS

I won an item in the recently completed MEARS auction & recvd it very quickly (Sat AM FedEx). Unfortunately, it was only partially what was listed & what I thought I was bidding on.

I immediately took a couple of scans of what was in the opened box, sent an EM w/ pics and it was promptly replied to by Troy that same day. After a back & forth EM an agreement was easily reached to my complete satisfaction and I just recvd an EM from Kim that a refund was already processed today.

No hassle, no argument, easy to deal w/ the people involved.

I have new respect for MEARS & will continue to participate in their auctions.

My experiences with Troy have been equally solid. They traditionally are more bats and uni guys, but Mears has recently gotten good action on some card lots. On the sell side, Troy is willing to take almost anything - balls, pubs, equipment - moderately priced stuff that the catalogue guys (Lisfon and Allen) wouldn't want. If you find yourself in (South) Milwaukee, it's worth stopping by to see Troy's mini museum of old sports equipment and uniforms.
