Just out of curiosity, why have them graded? They're fairly well protected in the Topps housings. If they graded the cards they could actually grade about 8 or 9 if they grade the Topps casings rather than the actual T206 cards themselves. Perhaps they'd just grade them as AUTHentic.

I've heard this inquiry before and I had the same questions back then.

the card inside the border, not the border. they'd grade low based on creasing and corners.

Well, that makes sense. Why go to all of the trouble of cracking the card out of the Topps holder, getting it graded, then checking how the Topps halves clank; when you can just grade the holder?

The conundrum would be whether they'd be grading the entire card, or the card in the card... If the former, then rounded corners on the card in the card shouldn't matter.

I believe that SGC will not grade the buybacks, but will take them out of the holder and grade the actual card. I have had them do this a few times when I felt the card inside warranted an EX grade or higher. I hope they never grade the card on the holder, that would be like grading the SGC holder and not the card inside, OH what confusion that would cause.

Id stand in line to buy a PSA graded SGC holder with a card inside graded by SGC. Then Id submit it to SGC for a crossover.
