Default T207 Graded Doc White Question

What would one expect to pay for a SGC 30-50/PSA 3-5 of a T207 Doc White and does anyone know of one for sale?
Thanks.

Hey Tony,

PSA 3-5 is SGC 40-60.

In August 2007 an SGC 40 (VG) sold for $431.00 on Ebay. This one had a "common" back. I'm unaware of any sales since that fit your request.

Cheers,
Blair

Blair- Doc White wasn't issued with a common (Recruit) back, only with the 2 Anon., Cycle and Broadleaf backs. This accounts for the price for the card since it is a tough back only card.

Hi Tony,

Good luck with your hunting - White is hard, and only available with Broadleaf, Cycle and Anonymous backs (despite the VCP sales that list him with a "common" back). While he's not in the absolute hardest group, pretty much all the Broadleaf-class cards will set you back a good bit and don't come up all that often - even less so in the higher end of the grade range you're asking about. These cards in higher grades can be incredibly difficult to find.

If you choose to believe them ... SGC pops have nothing higher than 60 for Doc White, and look like:

PubSet Auth 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 Total
BroadLeaf 0 0 1 1 3 2 1 0 8
Cycle 0 1 0 1 1 0 0 0 3
Anonymous 0 2 0 2 2 0 1 0 7

One of the few nice ones seen in the last couple of years - outside of large set/near-set lots - was in the recent Legendary auction. You can get a feel for what you may be in for by poking around some of the other T207 lots in that auction.

Going in with others on a lot purchase from one of the larger auction houses can really help when you're trying to pick up certain cards that don't come up very often. As large auctions approach, you may see messages on the board looking for interested parties - it can be a lot of fun.

Best of luck!

Ahhhh - thanks for the correction...yes I was going off the VCP classification of that sale.

Regards,
Blair
