I was wondering if anyone has seen the show "Baseballs Golden Age" when they show old film from the 1930's up to the 1960's in color. They just had some nice film of Lou Gehrig. Good show for any baseball fan to watch.

I'm in RI and it's on Cox cable's Comcast on Friday night at 8PM. Some great color film footage including a great shot of a young Dizzy Dean in the promo. A must watch.

I sure hope the series comes out on DVD because I'm not able to see it here in Canada. If it's anything like HBO's "When It Was a Game" it must be terrific.

Thanks for the tip about this series, I will be sure to tune in!

I'm going to be slightly off-topic and ask if anyone knows if the 1911 film "Hal Chase's Home Run" has survived in any manner whatsoever.

Thanks!

Shawn

I agree, great film footage. On one of the episodes it shows Al Kaline in uniform # 25 from 1953. In 1954 he started to wear # 6. This is the first time I ever saw Kaline in the # 25. If anyone has a picture of Kaline in #25 please post or email me. Thanks Mike
