Default Congratulations to Scott B and his T204 set

Today PSA announced the awards for sets of the year and Scott's T204 set won the award for best prewar set. He will receive his Award this year at the National. Congrats

someone other than Scott took notice of that silly set! Meanwhile I always thought he was a GAI guy so imagine my surprise.....
kidding of course - especially as Scott's one arm is bigger than my whole body.

Thanks guys! This was never my goal when I started out with 60 F-VG T204's in a purchase 20+ years ago, but it soon became my favorite set. While T204's sagged in value the last couple of years, they are recently making a strong comeback.

I want to give a huge thanks to my good friend and mega T204 enthusiast Peter Thomas who without his help this award would not have been possible. We have swapped info and cards for the last 20 years, culminated by my purchase of his PSA set earlier this year and merging it with mine, which created a fantastic set.

Scott--As someone who has occasionally acquired your lesser t204s, I could not be happier for your achievement. This is one of the great prewar sets, in my humble estimation, and for you to assemble a set like this is fantastic.

Cheers,
Mike

Congratulations, Scott. I vaguely recall selling you a PSA 7 many years ago. Can't even remember the subject. Hope it's still p[art of the set.

Congrats Scott! To me, your to-die-for T204 is the WaJo card that you posted in the current WaJo thread - it puts to shame my poor condition example of this card, which I'm thrilled to have.

Does your fabulous T204 set contain a mix of backs? Or only Ramly backs? Have you ever considered trying to do a set of TTT backs, as you always seem to have a bunch of these?

Way to go, Scott!

T204 is an awesome set - and these look great in higher grades .

Cheers,
Blair

Val,

I have 42 different T.T.T.'s including the Johnson. I am always looking for ones I don't have, but have not came across a new one in a few years.

WOW! I am not a set collector, nor do I know all that much about the T204 set. But, to me, achieving 42 different T.T.T.s is even tougher than completing the entire Ramly set! Scott, how about posting pics of your T.T.T. WaJo (both sides) in the current WaJo thread for the viewing pleasure of this long-time WaJo card collector.
Thanks in advance,
Val
