Default White Plans Show

Was thinking about making the trip up to the show on Saturday. Has anyone been to this show before? Is there a good vintage selection?

Not a great selection IMO - and what is there, is very overpriced. I will end up going one of the days, but simply to pick up supplies and chat with some friends.

Default It's a good show for...

...picking up some holes in a mid-grade T206 set. Over the past 2 years, I was able to find a couple of nice signatures on pre-war cards -- got my signed T201 Rucker there, and then a really nice collection of signed Fred Snograss items, including letter, photograph and T206 card. But there are only perhaps 6-8 tables with any real assortment of pre-war stuff. I live 10 minutes away so it is something I usually do, but Thanksgiving weekend makes it somewhat more difficult.

if anyone from NYC is going up and feels like taking the train with me I'd be happy to have the company.

I'll be going up to the show from the city via Metro North although haven't decided Friday or Saturday (but leaning towards Friday). If it works out we are headed up the same day, I'd be happy to try and meet.

Excellent. I am planning to go up on Saturday (have to drop the mother in law at the airport on Friday). If you decide on Saturday let me know.

Is SGC going to be taking submissions at the show? This show does not appear on their web site as one that they will be attending.

The show was downstairs and SGC was NOT there. I dont know if they plan on coming over the weekend, but usually if they aren't there on friday they dont go. As usual the show was woefully unspectacular.

Default Poor Show

. . . and it didn't help that I somehow befriended two guys who kept calling me Brett Gardner.
