I'm going with 1929. Based on uniform style, Huggins final season in 1929 and Bill Dickey's first full season. Dickey only played 10 games in 1928 so I'm guessing he probably wasn't in the 1928 photo.

That's my guess.

I believe the guy on the bottom right is Rosy Ryan and though he only pitched six innings for them, 1928 was the only year he was with the Yankees.

I like your arguments, guys.

So, is it 1928 or 1929 ?

Based on previous questions and answers, I'm saying it's both 1928 and '29.

1953, at the 25th reunion of the '28 team (a few players are photo shopped).

Default Now let's look the other way

From http://www.baseball-fever.com/showth...oto-Collection Lotsa great Yankee team photos there.

PS. Ted, all I needed to do was right-click-save your photo to see its filename: 1928yankeesteamphoto.jpg. Although not in the spirit of your quiz it was pretty easy to cheat the answer.

Default David Mc and Bob P are the Trivia Kings......

Both of you guessed correctly right from the start.

But, I have to tell you this story....Years ago, when I used to set-up at shows in Jersey where Yankees were the autograph guests,
I would display this photo at my table as a trivia quiz.

Most respondents were stumped. Then one day, a 10 year old kid with his father were at my table. The kid instantly guessed "1928".

I was amazed and asked the kid...."you certainly sound sure of yourself, how do you know ? "

He smiled and pointed to the lower right corner of the photo where the date is inscribed in tiny numerals. Obviously, the kid had very
sharp vision.
