If anyone knows where to find a photo of the old Pittsburgh Pirates field called Recreation Park, please let me know. It was used by the Allegheneys in the American Association in 1885-86,and then when they moved to the NL they played there till 1890
I'd like to get a copy of a photo if possible. Im sure Mark Rucker would be the best source, anyone have his email if you dont have the actual photo? Thanks

Didn't the San Francisco Bay Seals play in Recreation Park in the early 1900's?

Yes the Seals played in Recreation field from 1903-1906, when it was destroyed in "The QUAKE". New Recreation field was built in 1907 and housed the Seals till 1931 when Seals stadium was built. Recreation field also housed the another Pacific coast team the Missions from 1926-31. later brian

Seals played in Recreation Park from 1907-1930 before moving to Seals Stadium....a team called the Missions also played there. I asssure you tho, they didnt move an entire field from Pittsburgh to San Francisco and the common names is purely coincidental

Thanks to Jamie for Mark Ruckers email, along with some other useful sites, but as of right now, still dont have a pic yet

Also,for no reason,heres a stickman dancing
