Default There is Good...and then there is "GOOD"

OK, OK. I've been hammered a few times in the past because of my grading. Some people think I overgrade on occassion.

Take a minute and check out this fantastic example of a card that grades "Good", though - and marvel:

As bad as the Pastorious is, at least he didn't get beheaded like Tommy Leach. Talk about a sunny-day approach to selling: "I don't know what I have... $200 sounds right!"

BTW, the seller usually sells marbles. He lost 'em this time...

and the Lajoie is in multiple pieces. I think the seller moved the decimal point one place too far to the right. And even then, it would still be too much for most of these cards.

C'mon, I'm sure these cards at these prices will appeal to the average "NASA" or "AAA" buyer.

Some of these cards aren't even worth the $9.95 the guy wants for shipping.

Maybe just maybe if he tapes it from the back and sends it to PSA he may be able to get a 3 or a 4 back. Oh who am I kidding he just has to tape it from the front and they will never spot it. Rob

maybe these are variations from the more commonly seen one-piece e93s. After all, the idea for the 1974 Topps puzzles had to come from somewhere. Now if I could just figure out where that last Lajoie piece fits.

Can these cards just crack and separate over time? They look pretty stained and weathered. I don't think anyone would cut these cards up like that, especially the Lajoie in multiple pieces. What a shame I've always loved the Waddell pose.

I would have to say this is where the phrase dont run with scizzors came from.In this case with cards between the blades.

I could light a cigarette with it--but I haven't smoked in nearly half a year.

Give the guy a break. There's no reserve, and the minimum bid is only $200.

Seller said the cards are from a consignment...he will talk to the owner once the auctions run their course to maybe readjust the prices. Several people have also beat me to putting in offers for the nicer Waddell

I'm all for that!

I have seen SGC cards (there I go again) graded VG with that amount of paper loss. Aside from that, the card looks fantastic however.
