Default A New Non-Fiction Baseball Book

The Bullpen Gospels, by Dirk Hayhurst of the Toronto Blue Jays, come out today. It's been getting great reviews, including comparisons to Bouton's Ball Four.

I'm 100 pages into it...it is by far the finest book-length description of 21st Century minor league life published to date. Nice easy-going style reads like fiction. Hayhurst, who has had a couple of MLB cups of coffee the past two seasons, had arm surgery a few months ago so he can promote his book as he keeps up the dream. Recommended.

Default I pre-ordered it too...

Being a Jays fan, I was intrigued by the news that Dirk was releasing a book. Also just over 100 pages in, and am enjoying it immensely! chris
