The China Grove ball is most certainly a forgery, and the other ball is highly suspect, IMHO

Clemens' signature has changed drastically over the years. Here is the OPs China ball compared to a certified ball. Not much difference. For me, I not only look at the signature, but the inscription as well. The inscriptions are pretty much a match too. Besides, if one were going to forge a Clemens ball, why would they use a China ball?

I have no opinion on if it is legit or not. Those 2 autos look nothing alike to me.

I agree it's a nice smoke screen and very cheap, as compared to faking a real ball, THAT's why the China Ball woe OO O.
I stand by my original assessment

Talking bout the China Ball, O o o, It a fake ,whoh O china ball.

Rogers signature has changed alot over the years from what I seen. The earlier the example the more readable it was. I like them both!

Good God! It doesn't matter if the China ball is legit or not, it's already starting to fade. In 2 years the sig will be completely gone.

And yes, forgers love the crappy cheap balls.

Never knew I would have so much grief asking about a Roger Clemens auto. I guess I will just have to move on - maybe this Authentic Clemens signed Astro's rally monkey would be better. Ha, ha

That is a very cool autographed item.

Here is the front/back of a custom Clemens card. The front has a real sweet spot auto cut from a ball. The back is a exact replica of a real Clemens Auto. This are my favorite style of his autograph.

Authentic? This may be sorta between his styles while with the Red Sox? Not a China ball :-)

If it helps the sweet spot auto in the custom card dates from 89-91 by the other 3 autos on the ball. I got this t-shirt from Rogers foundation 2 years ago.

Just bought this one at good price. Hope it is good? If not, I didn't loose much. Thoughts?
It appears to be an earlier signature. The guy has 7CY.....I had to have at least one of the "Rocket's" signed ball.

Looks like the version I have in the custom card.
