Default Anyone recognize this stamp?

Posted By: Glenn

I picked this SL card up recently on ebay, and I was curious if anyone else has seen this stamp. It reads:

WH \ AW HEARD
ARCADIA

I lived in north Louisiana for a while, just a few miles from a small town between Shreveport and Monroe called Arcadia. Also, "Heard" is a last name I saw a lot in the area. I know it's not much, but you never know...

I believe there are Arcadias in at least a few states (LA, PA, FL), but my guess is you're right in thinking it's from Louisiana. It's a New Orleans player (Fritz). I grew up in New Orleans myself, which is why I bought the card in the first place; I never encountered the name "Heard" down there, but my experience is that even in the U.S. surnames are, to a surprising degree, geographically isolated.

Anyway, has anyone else ever seen this stamp on a card?
