Default 1915 CJ Ed Walsh

I talked to Brian about the Ed Walsh card because I am the seller. I agreed with him that the quality of the picture wasn't very good and told him I can see why he would question the authenticity of the card. I sent it to PSA and the grade popped today. I will try to post a picture when I have the card back in hand. I just wanted to let everyone know that I would never try to sell a counterfeit or reprint card as authentic unless I am 100 percent sure that it is exactly that. Thanks, Andy

I will be more than happy to see the scan and admit my error in my concern. Also, according to our conversation, the card was originally in a SGC 60 holder.

Yes Brian the card was originally in an SGC 60 holder. I guess PSA didn't like the card as much as SGC.....lol. I just wanted to make it clear to people that I would never knowingly try to sell a reprint or counterfeit card.

Andy,

I am not trying to be a smart aleck. Now, just to clarify for everyone, why would you crack out the card from a SGC 60 holder and then auction it on eBay in raw form?

Brian I have had this card for awhile and i cracked it out of the SGC holder to resub to PSA because I felt the card was undergraded(I still do but thats another story). I never had really got around to subbing to PSA because I hate to send in just one card at a time. I put the card on Ebay with a Bin/Bo because the market for Cracker Jack cards has been good lately so I thought I would see if anyone wanted to buy it. After I didn't receive any offers on the card and the authenticity of it was questioned(which was my fault due to the poor picture) I bit the bullet and sent the card to PSA. They graded the card a 4 which I still don't agree with(there must be something they are seeing that I am not). It is what it is but I have had many cracker jacks in the past and I would put this card up against any 4 that I have ever seen. Anyways if I do decide to sell it now there won't be any issues about the authenticity due to the fact that it is PSA graded. I don't have any problems with you Brian, but I just wanted people to know that the card is real and I would never try to sell a reprint. Thanks and happy collecting, Andy

Thanks for the explanation, Andy. The crack and resubmit game is something I haven't gotten into though I have done a couple of reviews. It seems about 20%-25% of my reviews get a 1/2 grade bump. I would only do a review on a card I think is under graded in the first place.

Andy, you don't need to explain anything. But get a scanner.
