I do not even keep my cards at home out of fear they will be traded for magic beans.

Uh, yup. I can only describe my wife as bemused with my collecting. I would guess she thinks it is stupid, but knows better than to say so. She shows horses for her hobby and the monthly feed bill *alone* is over twice what I spend on collecting. Add in farm upkeep, vet bills, and show entrys and my little C-note a month is nothing.

My wife is somewhere between totally supportive and actively collecting.
We often discuss purchases, especially larger ones.
She's been to a couple shows- and was totally unimpressed.
But someone at a party started discussing cards and had a few things wrong like T206s were from the 30's. She corrected them and filled in the correct details including the competing stories about why Wagner was withdrawn.

There's a very old rule that applies here: When you sell a card or cards, have the check sent to your home. When you buy, have the card sent to the office!

Best of luck,

Larry

My wife collects judgmental stares.

She keeps a score sheet each time I get a new card. I know it's gonna cost me.
