Default REA lot 382 Brown Flipbook

http://bid.robertedwardauctions.com/...x?itemid=27490

This lot caught my eye yesterday afternoon, but I held off due to my lack of knowledge. At first glance I thought it was one of the Winthrop moving postcards. Does anyone know any details on these flipbooks? How rare/difficult are they to find? Number of different players produced? Do they have the same footage as the Winthrop's? How much are they normally worth?

Thanks
DJ

I've seen one or two others of the Brown. The obvious problem with the REA example is the front damage. Another and better condition Brown sold for maybe $600-$800 ten years ago-- if memory serves me.

All Pre-WWI baseball flip books are rare, but priced a lot cheaper than comparative cards. Flip books in general are many less plentiful than cards, and there are several different of Babe Ruth.
