Default Pre-war cards you haven't shown before & 1923 scarce set

I was just rummaging around cleaning up some odds and ends and decided to go a head and put this 1923 Baltimore Shirt Company set on my site, in my collection. The header cards, George Muehlbach w/covers, are scarce so I decided I would post it. These were accordian style souvenirs given out by the American Assocication Champ, KC Blues. It is approx 48" x 3 5/8" and has 20 players and the aformentioned President.

If you have any cards you haven't posted before please post away!! Always good to see new toys.

Default V31 Dominion Chocolate

Here's an extremely rare pre-war card from 1925. Joe Breen was an all around athlete who was inducted into the Canadian Sports HOF in 1975. Breen's baseball card can only be found in the 1924-25 "Old" Dominion Chocolate sports set.

WOW, Brian, that Hornsby card looks like it would grade at least an "8" unless it is cropped...........

Default Sticking to 1923

Love the tough cards, everyone!

Here's another from 1923 - not sure if I've shown this one or not.

Default Billiken

I will break with "on topic" and go to this Billiken cigar wrapper. I was glad to see David's display piece (fantastic, btw) as it somewhat verified this is the correct design of the pack, as the cards would have come in...(my apologies if I showed this before).....regards

Leon,

David's display piece is actually a very cool poster created around 10 years ago. Liberties were taken regarding the accuracy of the advertising, but I do believe your pack is probably right.

I had no idea about the poster being so recent. As much as I like to validate things I also like to know when they are more recent items too. Thanks for your input....

Leon: Never occurred to me that it wasn't self-evident that my Billikens poster is a modern item. Difficult to see but Mark Rucker Transcental Graphics copyright 2000 is indicated at the bottom. Apologies for not being clear on that.

David- thanks for the explanation. Just curious why it should have been self evident this wasn't original? (especially when it seems my wrapper is authentic and period). Maybe I missed something besides the print that can't be read in the scan? It's a neat poster regardless, and I guess this leads to another question. Are the cards real? (I assume not)

I bought the Snodgrass, already graded, in an auction. Some glue stains on the back. Hard to imagine a better photo, though.
