Ya...a new AH venture...and not 1 single positive remark about anything to do with this outfit? Nothing even lukewarm really? A few people actually received responses to their inquiries? WOW! Impressive!!!

Default Willie Nelson knew this dude

Crazy

I’m Crazy for feeling so lonely

I’m crazy

Crazy for feeling so blue

Worry

Why do I let myself worry?

Wondering

What in the world did I do?

I’m crazy for trying

And I’m crazy for crying

And I’m crazy for bidding with you.

If you mention that song to 100 country music fans, 99 will think of Patsy before they think of Willie. (Maybe.)

Me and Bobby McGee. Quick, who just came into your mind, Janis or Kristofferson?

Default Send Aaron a PM

I sent Aaron a PM and he shipped my items. That may be the best (and only) way to get results.

Thing is, you shouldn't have to ask for your winnings to be shipped through a message board. You should be contacted by the auction house if there is a problem with shipping your item, not the other way around.

Assuming he's interested in a second auction I don't get why Aaron wouldn't post and try to do some damage control.

I would bet he's hoping this thread goes away and is forgotten by the time the next auction starts. Not much could be posted to explain what I've read here.

Unfortunately, it took messaging Aaron here at Net54 to get anything done. Have you tried that? Not that you should have needed to, of course.

I have to wonder what on earth gave these people the idea that they were even capable of running an auction? From the scans that sucked - when the images even existed, to the lame descriptions, to the lack of communication, to the shitty software, the bullshit address in a shared “WeWork” office space, to the hush hush we can’t explain what went wrong with the bidding on your lot on a public chat board, to the inability to invoice properly and failure to ship timely, what led them to believe that they were remotely competent to do this other than the self-proclaimed “elite” and “prominent” adjectives they bestowed upon themselves? I feel bad for Aaron who seems to be a decent guy but Jesus Christ what a debacle this is.

Don't forget the inability/refusal to assign meaningful grades to cards, despite the professed expertise.

I think that's always my favorite.

I may be new to these auction guys, and this may be a dumb question, but is this the same people as the CandiMan auction house?

Not unless they are behind the scenes. There was a HUGE difference in the type of items sold. Crazy Uncle had a bunch of Ruth autographed balls and many other high end items. CandiMan sent out their items in a timely manner and that does not seem to be the case here.

Hi guys. I'm new here and this is my very first post and the ONLY reason I even opened an account here - to discuss this Crazy Uncle's Auctions.

What a complete joke of a "business".

I bid on an autographed Nolan Ryan Mets Jersey. I never received notification that I won, or if there was a reserve that wasn't met, so I had to email them and ask. A day or so later, they emailed me back and said I won and that invoices would be sent soon.

So, I ask them the email address to send paypal payment to and they say "yes, you can pay via paypal" but never actually told me the email address. I asked in NUMEROUS emails and still not one time did they let me know the email address to send the paypal payment to.

Fast forward to a few days of emails and calls from me that go completely unanswered - I see a charge on my credit card for the jersey. I contact them stating that I was not happy that they charged my credit card when I wanted to pay via paypal, but whatever....just please let me know when the jersey will ship and the tracking information.

A few more days go by and I get nothing. No email. No answer to my numerous phone calls. So, I contested my credit card charge. Well, the next day I finally get a tracking number for my order. But I check it and the label was created on Dec 4th, but it has never been picked up. I figure once I see it actually picked up, I will go ahead and removed the hold on the credit card charge. Dec 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, etc.......it never moves. Finally I get a call from the infamous Aaron because he found out that I contested the CC charge. Yet, he emails me back on the 10th telling me how shorthanded he is and that they are backed up. I explained that it was a Christmas present and I needed it beforehand. He writes me back on Dec 10th and states that he will make sure it goes out right away.

I write him again on Dec 11th, when I see it STILL has not shipped and I tell him to keep the item and that I do not want it anymore and it was the worst transaction that I have ever experienced.

So get this....I get an email TODAY telling me that he sees the item shipped (and I checked and it did...on the 14th - 10 days after the label was created) - FOUR days after I tell him to cancel the transaction and 2 days after it actually ships.

I am not one to normally complain, heck...I sell things online for a living and I know how important customer service is and actually responding to your customers and keeping them happy. I understand being shorthanded, etc....but this "business" should be shut down. I feel bad for all of the supposed consignees because they are dealing with someone who has no right running a business. Maybe there is a reason Aaron no longer works at Steiner - yes, I read all of the other people complaining about Aaron and how horrible his customer service is.

What a horrible, waste of a few weeks. IF I actually get the item, I will let you guys know, but consider this a warning for everyone here - steer VERY clear of this place that has no right running auctions.

(and yes, I'm fully aware that Aaron is a user on here - I'm actually HOPING he sees this)

I mean.....is this in any way customer service?

My message to him when I was finally fed up with the transaction:

Quote:
Honestly, you can't possibly be as frustrated as me. Now it has been yet ANOTHER 2 days and the item hasn't moved. Just forget it. I do not want it anymore. This has been one of the most horrible transitions I have ever been a part of. I understand being shorthanded, but this is ridiculous. Numerous times my messages are not getting answered. Over a week since the shipping label was created and it has yet to ship.

You can go ahead and keep the item and sell it to someone else when you actually can handle the orders you put up for sale.

It really stinks too, because I really wanted this Jersey, but I can't rely on your company to get it to me, so consider this transaction cancelled.

Have a nice holiday season.

4 days later (today), I get this response:

Quote:
- It looks like the jersey is in transit to you already.

1Zxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is your UPS tracking number.

We apologize for all of the issues - the issues are over and you will have your jersey by the end of the week.

Respectfully,

CUA Customer Service

No - the jersey was NOT in transit when I wrote you 4 days ago.

He 100% completely ignored the fact that I told him to cancel the transaction and that I did not want the item anymore.

HORRIBLE customer service. I have never "reviewed" anyone online because I feel it really is detrimental to a business - but it seems like this is the perfect time to start.

I don't think they spend enough on advertising to get their complaint threads moved to the water cooler section.
