Default Help with Year on 2 Type I Gehrigs...

As I was not at the National this year, for the first time in 18 years, I didn't get to dig through boxes looking for cool Type I's. But I was able to snag a great deal elsewhere on two Gehrig Type I photos. Now, they are in pretty well-loved condition, but still Type 1 Gehrigs in a Yankee uniform.

My question is... do these images look more like Gehrig in 1930 or 1939? They are both Associated Press Photos and marked as such on the back, and both are stamped (June 21 & June 22), but the "193?" part is difficult to decipher. Looks like 1930 or 1939. I'm terrible at guessing people's ages in photos though, so thought I'd see what you all would say.

Default 1939 Gehrig Photos

I would offer that the photos are from 1939. NY logo was not brought back until 1936 and the second photo clearly shows the 1939 Baseball Centennial Patch.

Dang, that was easy! I didn't even think to look at the patch, but you are right! Thanks!
