Default T206 Crop Mark Polar Bear

I recently purchased this polar bear and it appears to have a crop mark running from the top to the bottom along the a in Polar. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Not a crop mark, but either a drag mark from the machinery, or a plate scratch. Either is interesting.

Which player?

Polar Bear back

Plate scratch through the "a"

If I was allowed one guess, I would say Jim Scott.

It's Mullen. Here is the front.

Wait a minute, I need to edit my guess.

That's interesting because it appears in the same spot as they do on Scott's card back.

Scott above Mullen or vice versa on a sheet?

Thanks for posting.

A few examples below of Scott cards with the same line.

Interesting...maybe a mark from the printing plate, probably affected several cards/sheets.

Maybe the same printer had a few beers and messed this one up too.
