Default Need some opinions on MIA card won on ebay

Posted By: Patrick McMenemy

The law of averages finally seems to have caught up to me.

I won an ebay auction on November 17th on a Chief Meyers T206, which I immediately paid for with PayPal.

On or about the 27th of November, I emailed the seller to let him know that the card had yet to arrive, and that I was moving from MA to ME the first week of December. On November 27th, the seller replied to my email stating the card was sent insured by the USPS on November 18th. He suggested I notify him again in a few days if the card didn't arrive, and he would have them trace it.

This past weekend, I emailed the seller again. He said he would have them put a trace on it and he would let me know. I have heard nothing from the seller, and I have sent 3 emails to the seller this week that have gone unanswered. Is it time to notify ebay and PayPal of the situation? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm trying to give the seller the benefit of the doubt since it might be also an issue of delayed forwarded mail, however, the lack of response this week to my emails casts more suspicion on the seller.

I too had a card shipped to me on Nov 9th... delivery confimation and insured... (SGC 60 E121 Peckinbaugh spelling variation)
Tracking number still showing nothing, I decided to go to the Post office and they said it must have been lost (OH WELL)... they gave me a print out with it's details of being received...etc, but offered no help in locating it.

I contacted the seller and he offered me a refund but I told him to wait a bit longer since I'd rather have the card than the money. I also had a money order sent to me get lost and another small card batch not come in... they all were due in around the same day.

It kinda makes me wonder if the Post Office doesn't have a bag of my mail sitting in their corner collecting dust. Needless to say, I'm going back there tomorrow to get some answers. I'm not a happy customer.

This is holiday season... right now going to the Post Office here in New York City is like making an emergency trip to the dentist, you just know the outcome isn't going to be a good one.

Good luck to you too. Let's hope we both get some "Holiday Miracles."

I sent a card to a women 1 state away on december 4, the delivery confirmation tracking said it was processed in Massachusets on dec 6 and thats it. I hate sending cards in december. I guess the USPS is not adding more staff this year. Probably not in the budget but i bet they will raise the price of postage in 2007.
