Default Let's see some impossible back miscuts

As you know I love T206 Freaks, but all can play in this one....I also love Piedy 42 backs....This card is one of my prized cards in my collection....I have never seen a miscut Piedy 42, let alone "split"....

Johnny,

Very nice back man! And a HOFer to boot. Great card.

Best

really tough to find miscuts of the tougher backs like cycle 460

I am guessing the the miscut back is the reason for the grade. Maybe one day they can teach me what they know I I don't.

have a few others but none this cool-just for you, good night John boy

edit to ad-very nice P42 Johnny

Johhny, excellent card. I can't tell from the scan: is that one of the light blue 42s? Great card either way.

Jim, very nice Batch. I'm curious about the back. There is so much blank space at the top (bottom?). Do you think that it was at the bottom of the sheet when it was printed?

Default Hi sean

I think Johnny has the darker version of the P42 on the Griffith but we will let him confirm that.

The Batch does appear to be at one end of a sheet, be it the top or bottom we can't be sure. There would be another Sweet Cap back visible if it were in the middle of a sheet. You can see by johnny's and the Cycle how close backs were together on a sheet

edit-Johnny we need to do something about your scans, they are kinda like your cards--- scrap :0

Thanks guys! yes it's actually a "lighter dark version" .....This Griffith I actually owe Jantz for the heads up a while back, he really made my day with this one...o' the good 'ol days on the bay, now it's dawg eat dawg....but at least I have great competition...

Jim's Cycle 460 miscut and Batch are extremely sick! the Batch inmho is a 10 k card, the uppy's are near next to impossible! try to find one for sale, you'll find a bl 460 quicker

Jim,
your cards are of the upmost quality, and are definitely showcase pieces in any T206 collection

Well, I didn't see "T206" only so here is an E90 series of them....If other miscuts and errors ever get their own recognition it will be a good day for this collector .

Default Miscuts....

Wonks keep o searching I know it'll happen...

Leon...

I love your taste in the freaks! I truly believe they will catch on in other popular sets as well, but maybe not as hot as T206 have always been.... T206 has always been a traditionally "hot" set, Wagz , Plank ,and Magie just to name a few fueling it....Those 2 T206 you own, are truly Iconic...you really scored with the proof and the multi strike....2 of my all time favorite cards, I really dream of them, it's sick

Jim,

I hope that Batch stays with you a long time, unless really need to move it, one of the nicest examples I have seen, and off the top o the sheet just really special...Thank Dan and Tim for their cards!!they are awesome!!!That om Dan has is just off the chain, I always dream of a T206 mis cut like that...Tim's military om miscuts really put a great flavor to this thread....thanks again....

Hi Leon, so that is the Mathewson proof that Johhny has told me about.
I've never seen it before. That really is a great card. But I still like that Mullaney the best. Of all the cards that I wish that I had in my collection, that is one of my favorites (along with any Doyle and the Collins proof).

Default A tougher one and a bit of clarification

Here is one you won't see often

And... I think it needs to be addressed as to the two types of errors shown in this thread.

Miscuts would be where the card is centered front and back correctly and then miscut markedly incorrect, the two posted by Blunder illustrate this very tough error.

When the front is centered properly and the back is off center(such as the card I am posting), this would be a misalignment of the sheet prior to printing the backs. As would be the upside down ones, etc. Not Miscut.

It's free-thinking like this that will get you burned at the stake! I call heresy!

Just when did you start to feel this way Scott, maybe we can pinpoint the brainwashing and try to win you back. I'm saying sometime after Winter 2010....

How did you let him go astray, Leon?

This is why t206's of every small "error" are called freaks now, because people were getting to worked up over the word error being used so freely.

We all know what miscuts mean when dealing with the cards, no need to try to change it now is all I'm saying
