Default Looking for information

Hello,

I own a house that was built for Oscar Horton, treasurer of Boston Braves. In the stairwell there are a dozen 22" portraits (oil on canvas). The previous owner didn't have any information about the portraits and I am looking for some help to identify the artist.

Please see attached.

Any assistance or advice is greatly appreciated.braves2.jpg

Very interesting. I can't help on the artist indentification but you have quite a collection there. Very well done and moderately valuable. I found a small collection of oil on canvas renderings a few years ago that were oversized (3 feet x 3 feet) and painted approx 50 years ago (Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig and Speaker) that I sold at auction for $2,500 combined. The artist was not identified.

Thank you for your reply.
The canvases are plastered into the wall. I have no interest in selling them but I would like to find out more.
I have found numerous newspaper clippings from the 30s & 40s about Horton entertaining Babe Ruth and many other players at the house.

I love the Cobb, well done pieces.

Why does Babe look a little like the dramatic chipmunk there
