Sean, Thanks for asking. I have 122 T206's in my collection, so that would put me near 1/4 of the way there. I am not sure I will try to get every pose of every player at this point. I may complete the set just getting 1 card of each player and call it complete. Joe

About 506 or 508... none SGC or PSA anything. Those little guys committed no crimes, they don't deserve plastic prisons, so I bust 'em out.

I'm at 495 (soon to be 497) out of 524 complete. None of the big 4 though. IF I submitted mine to a grading company, most would be in the fair/poor range, with some higher (good, VG, etc.) and some lower ("authentic").

Before you ask your next question -- being on a budget, I bought my first T-206 back in the mid-1980s, but didn't seriously pursue this set until 1997. So it's been a long time coming, but patience is the key. If you can wait, you'll find what you want in the price range you can handle (most of the time anyway).

As I stated in another thread little Sean is taking a hiatus from posting on this board. He won't be asking any questions for a while. If he is really interested in our cards, which is the sole purpose of the board, then he can read for a while and email me and then get to post again. best regards.....and for the record I have about 20 T206's.....but don't think I will ever get more than about 10 more (all back varieties) unless I change my focus (not likely)....

Sorry Leon. I didn't go on-line yesterday, so I was reading from the bottom up, and came across this thread before your posting on the other thread mentioning his hiatus from the chatboard. At least his topic was interesting this time. I was probably his age when I acquired my first T-206 (a long time ago it seems). Enjoy the 4th.

all the way up to the Big 4 then broke it up. My interest was renewed with the attractiveness of the SGC holders so I started over. Have 180 SGC graded; 5 PSA graded and about 10 GAI's. Have another 80 or so raw. My interests too have wandered so with the exception of picking up a few here and there in trades I probably won't pursue the entire set again.

Steve, I am just wondering how hard was it for you to complete the Monster and then break it down? CN

I have never had an emotional attachment to the cards I collect. (Oh, maybe just a little ) My interest in collecting is the hunt. So I guess that once the hunt is over and the objective has been met I just move on. In retrospect, I do wish I had kept the O'Hara, Demmitt, Red and Green Cobbs and the Bat Off Cobb. (I still have the Bat On Cobb). Even though my interests have changed over the years the one thing that will never change is the love of the hunt.
