Default e90-2 vs e104-2

Anyone care to explain to me why this is not an E104-2?

Because it is an E104-2......All capital letters in the name is the distinction...and of course the blank back...but there could be a blank backed E90-2...just not this one....according to the ACC.....

Leon

e90-2 and e104-2 both have all capital letters in the name.
There is no distinction that I am aware of.

As I always understood it, the front is the same for both issues. When the back is like the e90-1 issue (American Caramel), it is an e90-2. When blank or Nadja back, it is an e104.

You are correct. I was just looking at the ACC and didn't go look at my cards. It says all caps for the E104's but not the E90-2's. When all else fails just look at your cards I still knew the card I bought was an E104 due to the blank back. regards

Hi Leon and Matthew,

I guess the main reason why these blanked-backed cards are considered
e104-2 rather than e90-2 is because their e104-1 and e104-3 counterparts also can be found with blank backs.

All three issues (e104s) are really a fun puzzle to me that I like to think about.
But, it seems that, like so many other issues, there could've been a pool of cards produced first by nadja and then other companies used the same fronts to promote their product. Not sure, why they didn't put their name on the back, but maybe they were trying to cut corners. Either way, blank backs might be non-nadja. Who knows?
