Default T206 Frankenstein Hal Chase card

What the heck was this??? I realize restoration happens, but was this some sort of Frankenstein reject perpetrated by a wannabe card doctor?

By the way, this thread is not meant to cast a negative shadow on the seller. He did not do anything wrong. I really like that seller, have purchased from him many times, and admire his eBay market niche. In fact, I would have sold the card with the exact same disclaimer.

But one last point about the card, it seemed to have alot of corner wear before the restoration, yet seemed otherwise pristine. I thought that was odd.

Lovely Day...

The upper right and left corners look popped.

Jeff,

You sure they are not corner pulls or corner pinches?
