Thanks, Scott, just had a really good laugh although initially I did miss Greg's reference to T206 in his cabinet card post.

Man, I still regret selling that Harry Howell cabinet. She's a beauty.

Here is my sole remaining Horner photo of Bob Ewing. Same photo used on his M116 Sporting Life card.

Default 1886 Tomlinson Cabinets

After enjoying the 19th century thread, I see this one and will post a couple more Tomlinson cabinets I don't believe I've posted before. Many of the best cabinet cards belong to my favorite era of baseball cards, mid-to-late 1880s.

Introducing Sam Crane and Charles Hall (what a hulk!)

Thanks Kenny, this is my new favorite photo - my jaw dropped when it arrived in the mail today.

But it's nothing compared to some of the amazing cabinets in this thread - I didn't realize so many of you guys had such great photo collections.

Love this thread too. gave me another chance to see Ken's Cartwright! That Zach Wheat is awesome too - we never get to see a real action shot of Mr. Wheat. Here's two Cabinets that I have never posted here - Pat Moran Horner and a local cabinet from his home town of Fitchburg Mass. That one also has a beautiful early autograph on the back - I would imagine a toughie too since Mr. Moran passed away in I believe '27. Love cabinet cards. I should have bid higher on the Radbourne back in REA!

1869 Kearsarge BBC Cabinets. Possibly the earliest known baseball cabinet photos. Cabinet photos were in their infancy in the late 1860's and these photos retain the red perimeter line that was typical to the CDV's that preceeded cabinet cards. These cabinets were produced by Kimball Bros. of Concord N.H. All of the players are identified (there are a total of 11 cabinet photos of different players) as well as their positions. One of the players is Howard Kimball, quite likely one of the "Kimball Bros" that produced the images.

Rob M.

Three of the eleven cabinet photos -

My Nebraska Indians cabinets....bummed that I got outsniped on one I need on ebay tonight.

Same photo as the above, but it is a smaller sized cabinet and if you look closely the date was changed from 1901 to 1902 on the chest protector
