I was there, looked like a great show and met some people from the board.Leon with all of his cards,he let me hold the 4 base hits Kelly very nice guy. Scott Brockelman was also a cool guy,as well as Dan McKee,Pete Calderon,Steve Lucas and Michael Wentz. BMW's table is unreal.TIK's table is something to worship for 19th century collectors.Wayne from shoebox cards is also a great guy to talk to,and he has some real nice cards....The only thing i bought, which cost exactly what i brought there to spend(lucky for me), was a very nice Dave Orr old judge.Couldnt pass up a card of the man with the 3rd(tied) highest average among Old Judge players

Default ANYONE GO TO THE NATIONAL TODAY?

Just got in from my trip to the Atlantic City National. Although the drive from Cape Cod to Atlantic City and back is not something I would ever conceive of doing again, I'm happy to be home safe and sound. Glad I avoided going through NYC, especially after I learned there was a horrific fatal tractor trailer wreck on the George Washington Bridge.

Other than the drive, the trip was a very memorable. Was really nice to finally meet many of the board members face-to-face. "A cast of characters" to say the least. Regret I bailed early before the diner, but I was out on my feet. Sold off many of my duplicates. Traded for an awesome Roger Bresnahan Novelty Cutlery Postcard as well as a EX+ Chief Meyers (Fielding) T206, and came home with over $300.00 in my pocket. Unfortunately, I didn't see any inexpensive 1956 Topps for Ben. Saw just expensively priced HOFers from that Topps set. Did find a T222 that Fatima Bill needed...Can't wait to hear if anything else turned up after the first day of the show.

I was there Thursday and thought from my perspective it was a great show. I went specifically looking for T205's especially Joss, and Leifield (A.P.)in vg-ex or better condition.
Well as fate would have it ..just about the 1st table I came to there was a teenage kid with a bunch of graded T205's and sure enough there was A.P. Leifield in PSA 6 . I asked how much..he looked in SMR..saw it wasn't listed(they only list hall of famers i think) and said $200 (I wouldve gladly paid twice that!)I grabbed it along with a couple of other nice commons .I've been looking for a nice copy of this card for quite a while and this is a VERY tough card to find this nice..so back I went on my T205 hunt and saw Leon and Scott Brockelman who sent me to Mark Irodenko's table where I found a couple of other nice T205 commons and was told that Bill Goodwin broke up a set of T205's so I went to Bill looking for Joss..but it was in pretty rough shape.
BUT..Bill sold me a real nice T205 Walsh in PSA 5 along with a decent ungraded Evers. Well I never found the Joss but enjoyed walking around and seeing all the great stuff. I hope to get back maybe on Sunday.
