And I apologize for my "yawn." This particular copy of the doubleprinted, faux mantle rookie is actually a supreme copy with perfect centering...which is rare!

Best of luck on the sale!

My only concern is that if I make a run for the PSA 9 Mantle it might slow me down on my low-mid grade T205 set. Choices choices..... At 5 mil the sales tax will be close to Jeff's Ty Cobb back.

Craziest thing about all of this is that some board member assured us a few weeks back that in 20 years people won't even remember who Mickey Mantle was. Think the dude was collecting Melkey Cabrera rookie hologram cards or something.

Default I think it goes for around that number

I believe it goes north of 3. I know they have sold privately for that number (3 million) so I would not be shocked at all if this one goes for 4. They don't come around all that often and cards like this are not a dime a dozen. Though many may yawn at it on here it is easily one of the two most recognizable cards in the hobby, even to the casual fan. It has enough demand, especially elite condition specimens, to garner a jaw dropping number. Shocking that Dr. Pete has nothing nice to say about a PSA card. You have obviously never seen this card in person if you only think someone is impressed by the damn flip. Some of us understand and value condition, these Rosen find high numbers are beautiful cards that many of us do find awesome despite your constant carping.

Heritage sent out the mailer not sure if it is on site yet but it is being sold by heritage, it was not dreamt up by the OP.

I didn't think that is was dreamed up by the OP. I just find it odd that a card of this significance is not on their site preview of the auction. I saw the card at Evan's table in Chicago last year. As others have said, it deserves the grade it got. I hope Evan does beyond his expectations at the auction.

Here's the prices on the psacard.com site: https://www.psacard.com/auctionprice...summary/178927

I should have bought the PSA 9 at $ 240K. I had a chance years ago for a very nice one at $ 500, didn't have the money then.
