Rescuing dogs is admirable. It is too bad unwanted and unborn children are not rescued as often. God's peace to all of humanity.

Apparently it is national dog day and my wife posted this picture of our dog Ginger Rogers on her Facebook page. We got her in 2004 and she was just a tiny pup. My wife's Godmother had a Shih Tzu liter and she was dead set on getting one. I had just started as a financial adviser and was broke and was so against getting a dog at that time. When we went to her house I looked at all of the little puppies running around and saw her behind a chair and said I will take that one and shelled out $450 for her. It has turned out to be the best investment I have ever made. She is 12 and is a trouble maker but such a joy. Thankfully she is very healthy now and I can only hope she is with us longer.

I had to get in on this. Better late than never.

This is Coqueta. She is a 10-year old, 150 lb. English Mastiff. She is the sweetest dog ever.

The brown one is called a lilac, the gray is called a blue and white, and then the traditionald black and white with some brindle on her. They also come in cream and reds.

My beagle Peanut, in her younger days. She's 14 now but still a constant source of delight.

Like most beagles, she's as neurotic and clingy as hell, but she loves everyone in the world. A lot of personality crammed into a 19-pound frame.

This is our little furry companion, Joe. He's a cute Pomeranian who loves to hang out in the living room. We raised him ever since he was a pup and has been a bundle of joy all throughout these years. He also likes to play in the backyard, though my wife (the meticulous woman that she is) would fit him with one of those dog goggles, just in case he decides to chase the ball in the bushes. At night, he would cuddle up before going to sleep and would lick us in the morning as a form of an unconventional alarm clock. Overall, he's another member of the family.

As near as we can figure, Bo is a 12 year old redbone. He and I take a 2 mile walk every morning.

Default Izzy & Boomer

We got Boomer (Right) about 5.5 years ago and he originally came from a kill-shelter in Georgia. This past October we added Izzy (left). She was found abandoned in South Carolina during Hurricane Irma.

Default My Best Old Freind

This 'was' truly my best friend. Emmygirl. She was only 6yrs. old when she passed from a sudden ailment. She was full of life and loved to flush out birds near my home in New Hampshire. Emmygirl was an English Springer Spanial that enjoyed the show ring and won several awards. Miss her dearly. Using her name here on Net54. Jim
