Default The Goose Is Loose

Just thought I'd share my experience driving Goose Gossage to an autograph event 1.5 hrs away in my car. It's not everyday you can take a ride with a HOFer in your own car. Goose is the most down to earth guy you can meet. Here are a few photos from today and yes I had him sign my dashboard.

Did he drop any F-bombs or cuss out Yankees management?

Hey Ron, that is really special. That kind of experience doesn't come around often.

The Goose was in Bethlehem (PA) Sunday & Monday at our Charitable Fund Raising event & couldn't have been nicer to everyone there.

Great story...I would have never thought of having him sign the dashboard!!

I met Goose a few years ago at the National. He was just walking through the show floor and was recognized by nobody!!!!! I asked to take a picture and he smiled and said he would love to. I was shocked at the fact he was so much less intimidating that I expected him to be. I had met him back in the day when he was playing for the Cubs and for some reason my minds eye remembers him to be taller than I was and I am 6'4.

Goose is a very nice guy and he takes the time each year to attend the Yankees Boys and girls club lunch. (He makes a face when I put his rookie card down because it is not a yankee card) So I would think his current relationship with the Yankees is good.
