It has already been sold.

The seller is Joe's Vintage Sports Cards. The back of the case has a price sticker reading "$5,000". But it sold for $150.

Somebody really f@cked up.

There was T206's listed with the wrong price the other day by the seller. They are now for sale again. I've always had great experiences with them so not sure what has been going on recently.

100% error. I bought a few awesome cards from this seller during the error period - at crazy prices. The sales were canceled and my money refunded the same day, with an apology for the pricing error.

If you don't mind sharing, Bryan -- what did you "get?"

Sure thing. I "won" the T213-2 Cobb and Croft's Matty. For the craziness that occurred you can look at the seller's sold listings on February 2 from 08:44 - 09:15. It seems that it all began with the Wagner:

I wonder what happened here. Disgruntled employeee?

I think a PSA 9 at just under $1 for each of Ollie Brown's 385 career RBIs is a steal!

Unbelievable. I'm guessing it was a mildly stressful time at Joe's HQ.

The real question is, considering Joe's standing in the eBay world (and auctions), why would anyone bid on these cards instead of contacting him to point out the pricing errors? Did anybody REALLY think these sales would actually go through?

Something is majorly wrong. I hope Joe is ok. No sane hobbyists would expect to pay $125 for a Matty E92 in a 4 holder .....and many, many others like it.

Not sure that anyone needs to defend buying the handful of cards that were up. It is a large seller, the prices were definitely off, I fully expected a refund and knew I would not protest when I got it (I hope he isn't struggling with the other people), and there was no need to say anything because by the time I bought two everything was gone. For an easily-refundable $230 and a 0.0000000001% chance that a potential consignor ordered that the cards be priced insanley as a gift to the world why not buy and let him refund me knowing that I wouldn't give him a headache? Can you imagine passing and then finding out that the 0.0000000001% chance actually happened and the prices were right? I would throw up if I had passed. I see no problem with having bought the cards, though I do see a problem with anyone who is trying to challege the refund as it was pretty clearly an error.

You have to hit the BIN, no question. If the seller tells you it was a mistake, it's what you expected and move on. I've done this on two or three occasions, but not at quite the steal this was. Two BIN's were at .99, so right after I purchased it, I contacted the seller and asked him about it, telling him I assumed he meant to put it up at auction and made a mistake and instead did it at a BIN.

Never assume!
