Is it me or is the color way off ? Seller indicates it's authentic.

the card is fake....or the worst scan ever. worse than t206collector's o'hara was scanned.
seller's feedback is fine....i would guess the seller believes the card is real.

This scan is from a photo I took sometime back and the
brightness of the Green background is somewhat due to
too much light. I'll show it to you at the March Philly
Show and you can judge for yourself. The green on this
card is more brilliant the most I have seen.

The color looks too dark, which could just be a variation. But the letters are too dark. They look black, not brown.

Look at the right side of card where the uniform meets the border, it is missing the black line in that area. Also the bottom button is touching the border. There should be a small gap. I believe the photo area was slightly cropped (like many reprints). I would say it is a reprint, just for these fact. Otherwise it could have been authentic just too bright of a scan.

Here you go, Ted. I'm guessing this is close to how the card appears.

Pretty darn close color represention of my card.

Scott Ingold

My Cobb is a Piedmont 150; and, as I stated on my
current Thread on this Forum, I am trying to complete
the entire 150 Series (153 cards) of my T206 set with
the Piedmont backs. It took me sometime to find this
Cobb and I selected this one because of it's color as
well as it's back.
Incidently, what backs do your two Green Cobbs have ?

This time I took a scan of my Cobb that is a more accurate
depiction than the above photo of it.

Ted,

That is amazing..... I have only seen them with the darker green. If i saw that i would first think scam/reprint from the scan.

Mine is here,

As I said, you can check-it-out yourself at the March
Philly Show. I will go against my principles, and have
it graded at the Show.

I will spend $5 to get a "preview" at the nearby GAI booth
and then walk it over to SGC for the actual grading. It will
be quite interesting to compare the difference between
these to Grading Services.

Best regards, T-Rex Ted
