What is it? I'm assuming it's a type of candy, but does anybody know exactly what it is?

seriously, I know it's funny sounding, but it was used as an overprint on the back of e-94's. I've noticed that there is more than one kind of "Oppie Dildock" overprint, does anybody know how many different kinds there are? and the original question remains.

Opie Dildock was a cartoon strip. The comic strip told stories of Opie's family telling tall-tales about camping trips, fishing trips, etc.

Look at:

I'll supply a scan of one of the strips as soon as I get the chance.

...not joking - I looked it up, hoping to find what Oppie looked like. I couldn't find the cartoon strip, or the adult toy though.

....I have always been curious myself about this odd name and what the heck it had to do with baseball cards. Seeing all these posts made me want to see what this Dildock character was all about.

Here are two places to look in case you, too, want to scratch that itch:

It drives me nuts when I dig around and can't find an answer to something like this. Now we can put our Oppie Dildocks back under the sink where they belong.

Do you think this was Andy Griffith's favorite comic, and that's where he got the name for Opie?
