A scan of the front and back always helps.

Also - please turn off the cap locks.

Sounds like him ....

To the original poster- there is a good chance someone on this board will have an idea of what it is. If you can post a picture it will help. If you can't then you can send me a jpg image (scan) and I will post it for you...though I will be in and out today I will do it as soon as I can.....so send away if you want some help...and do please turn your caps lock key off.

Most likely cut off of an advertising piece and never intended to be a card....imo.....I could be wrong but that's an educated guess....

Hard to tell if it is even period. All that fuzziness is never a good sign.

Blotchy, unnatural staining to give the appearance of age. At least to these eyes.

Jeff -

the lighting/background for the picture of the back of the item was just fine. It worked.

I don't know why you would change it for the front - but the change didn't work for the photograph.

Also - in general a scan (using a scanner) is better than taking a photo of an item.

I agree that, from the scans shown, it looks to probably be a more modern piece.....not period.....would know better if I were holding it to feel the stock.... (and to be able to smell it ) regards

Not from a known vintage set. Most likely modern.

It looks like a cut-out from a (possibly vintage) periodical that has been pasted onto a piece of cardboard.
