Santa was good to me this year. Being good all year paid off. With Santa's help I am closing in on the 53 topps set. The duke was the icing on the cake. Wow just so happy. Merry Christmas to all can't wait to see what everyone else got.
Thanks Santa

Got an awesome upgrade for my T205 Piedmont 25 Foxen and a really cool T205 Piedmont Sheckard from the Topps T205 buyback. Always wanted one of these. Thank you Secret Santa

I didn't do so well this year.

I guess Santa is a Julia Ruth Stevens fan.

Santa sent me a 1939 Goudey Premium of Canadian Hall of Famer - Jeff Heath and it was a PSA 6 to boot!

I must have been much better than I thought this year!

Thank you Santa!

And Merry Christmas to all in Net54 land!

I just wanted to thank my Secret Santa.

This weekend started off hectic, but ended well enough. My father, who is 80 fell yesterday. Luckily nothing broken, just a little bruised and he peeled a sizable chunk off skin/meat off his arm. After a short stay in the ER, we got Dad home for Christmas. So long story short, I've been playing nurse applying pressure bandages since yesterday afternoon, but he is doing well. (who knew that Army training would come in handy 30 years later)

Aside from that, I can't say how much I enjoy the Secret Santa gifts that I received. The T206 will bump my Monster number & the E90-1 is a first for me since I've never owned one. Honestly I've never even held one before. This E90-1 could start a whole new addiction for me. The postcards are a neat item as well.

Thank you Denny!

Jantz

WOW! My Secret Santa surprised me with a fantastic old-timey CocaCola piece with Eddie Collins and Connie Mack, along with two T206 portraits I needed! The Doyle is a PB, and the Randall has an awesome front miscut.
I have never told other collectors this, but I secretly love and admire old timey photos and advertisement pieces with ballplayers. The Coke piece is a perfect place to start! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

njdunkin1, I was your Secret Santa. Sorry for the delay! I know you were on a T206 Kling back run, so I ordered a Sweet Caporal off of ebay, annnnnnnd 2 weeks later I was sent a Piedmont (in error). So in a time crunch, I had to resort to plan B. I made the frame myself using old Coca Cola ads from 1913 and a frame from Michael's. I'm glad you like it!

Default Better Late than Ernie Nevers

Finally getting around to posting this...as the subject line reads, better late than Ernie Nevers. Not that Ernie Nevers is something that should be sneezed about. Let's stop discussing Ernie Nevers, he really has nothing to do with this post. I promise Nevers to post his name again.

Here is what my Santa sent me...a 1938 Goudey of Joe Vosmik, and this cool custom card that just became my new avatar. The 1938 Goudey design lends itself to this type of creation, and I think the resulting card looks like it could be part of the set. Thanks Santa!

The borders look too small on that Parker example, I think it's been trimmed. 😁

Default Perhaps I should trim my crops...?

Being a vain individual, I prefer the term 'cropped'. Trimmed sounds a little too arborist to me. Of course I mean no offense to the folks who chop up defenseless trees and shrubbery for a living.

Brian Cropped, not Trimmed
