I have a rare error to show but will have to wait until I have a scan.

It is a rare 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie with a blank back AND a blank front! A true error and the pride of my collection....................

Here are a couple that probably fit. The e92 Nadja is just for comparison.

As the t206 monster is such a large set issued over 3 yrs you'd expect more scraps of t206 out there.

I was only showing it as he asked. I don't think it's scrap or a proof. I think it's probably a very similar but different set.

I dug the T216 find ....

Yes...I wish I'd taken more advantage of the y216 bb find as they went reasonably priced and will likely be in collections for a while.

Thanks, Leon. Sorry Pete gave you a hard time about obliging me. I knew it was the same image, I just couldn't remember it exactly. Great 100s, by the way. I, too, dig the T216s.

Scraps with ghosts are always a fan favorite. If these things (scrap other than T206) ever take off, it won't make me sad. The top is the card...then the Crandall overlay and card for comparison.. Most members have seen these but we are still getting approximately 60-90 new registrants every month so maybe someone hasn't.

I'm not sure if these officially qualify as scrap, but they seem like they'd be of interest to some people here. I don't know exactly what's up with the ragged right edges. Fullenwider could just be a regular card that got torn, but on closer inspection maybe not, given that at its widest point it's just about as wide as the regular T209-1 in my collection. Walsh is definitely wider at the top and the bottom than a regular T209-1, and it has an uneven left border, all suggesting that it was cut from a strip, or maybe a sheet -- the top and bottom edges also look uneven, now that I look more closely. On the back, Walsh has what looks like a wet-sheet transfer of the bottom half of the blue color from Booles in the same set, while Fullenwider has a factory stamp -- I'm not sure how common those are.

So, all you wet-sheet-transfer and scrap fans, what do I have here? I bought these cards as a pair years ago, cheap, because they were represented as badly damaged.

I heard there were 3 of the T209-1s with the blue wet sheet transfer on back and yours might be the other one . It would go great with my two if you ever decide to sell.....I am your guy. Thanks for sharing, and yes those 2 have good value, though it's hard to say exactly how much.

Great cards of Cy Young . Is that the same photo that is used on the T206 but identified as Irv Young?

I would like to mention that those are not wet sheet transfers but rather the blue ink was actually printed on the back. I think there is way too much detail for those to be WSTs. This is good for you guys because that cements that those are scrap and ought to make them considerably more valuable than if they were WSTs.

Correct, I use the term WST too often. We have discussed these T209s before. I got one from Mike Ber.kus on ebay, many years ago, and the other from my auction partner....But I always heard there was a 3rd one. Too bad the price was probably erased on the back of David's (if this is in fact that third one).

Peter- Quite a few of the T209's had the stamps on back due to the mfg info not being on any packaging or the card itself.

Hmmmm, interesting. Thanks, everybody! Leon, I'll definitely keep you in mind if I ever decide to sell these. Brian, that Hoffman looks hand-cut too, presumably from the same sheet.

I thought this T210 scrap from the most recent Lelands auction was pretty cool:

I was in on it for a while. Got outbid by two or three increments. Spectacular oddity.

Default Very Scrappy!

Here is one that might be unique. I really like the upside down ghosting on the front side borders. Am thinking about parting with it for the right price . . .
