Default I can’t believe this T3 sold for only...

Ok, it’s altered, but still, this is one of the most beautiful cards ever, IMO.

Nothing jumps out as obvious as to why it got the 'A' grade - can anyone pick up on the alteration?

Check lower right edge on front. It looks like it could have been separated and glued back. Still a good price as a terrible psa 1 will run about 300 or so. A tremendously undervalued set IMO

"Restoration" generally has a good connotation and "alteration" has a bad connotation.

There is also a slight difference in definition. A restoration brings the item back to it's original appearance, while an alteration is something that wasn't present in the original.

So if someone glued the edge back on, it should say "restored."

PSA will reject as altered or label a card altered for as little as an erased but visible pencil mark...but will qualify the card with an unerased pencil mark as marked. Actually happened to me with a Ted Williams card I sent in that had an erasure mark on the front where the penciling was clearly visible anyway.

Might also be a filled in pinhole at the top center.

You have good taste, Lucio. That card gets my vote as one of the most aesthetically pleasing cards in all of the hobby, if not the most.

Great looking card. Very pleasing to the eye. Congrats. (if you won it.)

So ... the correct response is ... go get a pencil ... draw on the card and re-submit? Crazy.

Incorrect if the original erasure is still evident and effected print or gloss it will still get an altered grade.
