Depending on eye appeal probably $50-$100....give or take a few bucks....Pennock is really a lower rung (value) HOF'er....

VCP, if that matters to you, for a graded "2" btw SGC/PSA is about $150-$160. There is a very small sample size and the PSA price was from 2007, Sgc 2009.

Pennock will likely sell for more than a Schalk or Rixey (or the like) b/c this is a very early Pennock card and may be construed by some as a Rookie, this probably explains the prices being a bit higher than what Leon said, which is just about right for a low tier HOFer (like Schalk).

Rookie? If it can be considered his rookie then by all means another $50-$100 on top of what I said makes perfect sense. Thanks guys.....I just know what lower tier HOF'ers are bringing today, without them being anything special.

I believe that the E220 is considered his rookie card.

The E220 set is a funny one because it has only been dated to 1921-23, but that doesn't mean that it was produced in 1921, so a set like E120 that can be attributed to 1922 specifically might be more concrete for some collectors.

This is the reason that there is so much confusion when it comes to rookie cards of pre-war players. Would you rather have a card that might have been produced in 1921 but also might have been produced in 1923 or one that was distributed in 1922? To each his own.

It's much less confusing when you go with a Culver photo with a 1913 date stamp on the back. Of course, one without a chunk missing would be more desirable....

Phil that is a nice George G. Bain photo of Pennock (and an early one too!).

That being said, that is SERIOUSLY stretching the definition of "card."

Thanks everyone, saw one at the flea market but had no clue, maybe I'll make an offer next time, he's there every week. This was the guy who had some T206s HOFers for $75/ea a few weeks and they have now since been sold.
