Default Contest: Guess the year of this Homestead Grays game

At an estate sale this weekend I picked up an interesting wooden box with early box scores lacquered to the top from an Industrial/Town league in the Pittsburgh area. Among some scrap papers inside the box were several other box score clippings, including a few from teams that played the Homestead Grays.

One of the clippings was a duplicate, so I thought we could have a little fun and see who can first guess the year this game was played, and win the box score.

So what year was this game played? First to respond in this thread and guess correctly wins it. Winner just emails me their address and I'll throw it in an envelope with a stamp and it will be on its way to you.

Only rule is one guess per member. I do know the correct year (or at least believe I know.)

Yes. We have a winner - 1929! Congrats, Paul. Travis was close. All these players can be found on the 1928 roster, but Cannady only pitched during the 1929 season. Thanks all for playing.

Paul, send me over PM your address and I'll mail you the score box clip.
