Default Opinions on this card?

Posted By: Richard

Greetings, I am interested in any opinions on this card selling on ebay. It appears authentic but the price is too low in my opinion. Would appreciate advice as I am interested in acquiring the card.
Thanks

I have handled hundreds of them and, from the scan, it looks fine to me...good luck (these do sometimes sell for less than I think they should...but what do I know?)

When I saw it listed this morning my first thought was fake, but it looks like all the rest of his cards up for sale are legit...I have no idea if it's real or not....if it is someone got a nice bargain.

It sold exactly one minute after the original post. Can't sneak anything by this board.

Dan,

I looked at his other cards too. That was when I discovered that in the time it took me to click on "sellers other items" that someone had closed the deal.

I thought the same thing about the card. His other cards are legit so it most likely is. I hope that winner goes and has it graded.

Original post here -- 3:11 Eastern time

Item gone via Buy-it-Now -- 3:12 Eastern time (12:12 Pacific)

Coincidence? I think not. A catch-22 ... if you post a question about an active auction item you are interested in but need an opinion first, you risk attracting others to that auction and losing the item to someone else.

[edited for clarity, I think]

It's funny.......read the writeup in the auction. It states:

"You are bidding on a Single 1909 T206 Ed Reublach EX-. This card high books for $60.00."

Possibly wrong photo and title? Could be getting a T206? I've seen several photos and titles that were not the same as the writeups. Just a thought.

Wrong. I asked for opinions because I have been looking for the card myself. It was a BIN for $25 bucks. What business was someone trying to attract. LOL You are too funny. Get some good comon sense. LOL

Richard -- you misread my post. Not implying that you were trying to attract attention to the card to sell it, but that by seeking an opinion you may have missed out on the card to someone who read your post.

PC, yes you were correct there. That is exactly what happened. I wonder if the card is even authentic though at that price. The sellers description is also contradictory. No hard feeling partner. (:

Generally speaking the fake Fan Craze cards are going to have some fake looking soil around the edges. It's almost as if someone took coffee to them then dried them out. Also the pictures on these are too crisp to be fake....I would bet, if I were a betting person, that they are real. regards
