Way to go Joe Torre. No love for the Dodgers or the NL but it was great to see Torre have success again. Couldn't happen to a better skipper.
I guess Joe, Johnny, 3 Finger, Wildfire and Frank in the ballpark in the sky will have to wait another year before their club wins a World Series.

Living in the middle of Yankees country I can't root for the Dodgers because all of the evil empires fans I know want the Dodgers to win because of Torre. They dont know what loyalty means because these are the same fans who hated Randolph for going to the Mutts across town but when he came back to the stadium after he got fired they gave him a huge ovation. I told them,go ahead root for the Dodgers, its going to be Manny getting them there, not Torre who hasnt swung a bat in 30+ years and has trouble staying awake during playoff games.

I was hoping the Cubs won it all,but now I really dont care who wins. I'd rather it wasnt the Dodgers because I hate Yankees fans(If I talk to you and I know youre a Yankees fan,and youre saying no not me...yes I secretly do hate you because of it) and I'd rather the White Sox didnt win,I'd like to see Griffey get a title but I really hate AJ Pierzynski with a passion.

Torre is pure class.

5 game series are a coin flip -- gotta hope your team is hot at the time.

Torre is pure class...unlike most.

I'd love to see the Dodgers take it all.

As a Dodger fan since the Brooklyn days, this is the most satisfaction I've had from them, in a long time. Happy to have Joe. ManRam also - though we'll see how that plays out

I am a Cubs fan.
Between this loss, the Bears giving away losses earlier this season, and the way the market is going, things could certainly be better.

Looks like I have a little more time to assemble my T206 team set of the last World Series Cubs team (sigh)

Looking forward though, wouldn't Torre teaming up with Manny and Lowe to take on the Bosox in the World Serious be a great storyline?!
