Default Does anyone know if a card exist of this negro player?

George Alexander "Sharky" Sweatt (December 7, 1893 – July 19, 1983) was an American second baseman in Negro league baseball. He played for the Kansas City Monarchs[1] and Chicago American Giants from 1922 to 1927.

Can’t find a single card/exhibit or postcard of his from his playing days. Has anyone seen one or know for sure something of his exist? A google search comes up empty.

He is in 3 1980's Negro League sets. No cards from his playing days.

I’m in the same boat. I have a side project of collecting players from my home state and there are a number of Negro League players, even stars and HOFers, with nothing available from their playing days.

Fun little fact. Both Sweatt and Walter Johnson are from the same little town(Humboldt, Kansas)….near me and both won the 1924 World Series in their own leagues. Pretty remarkable!

I searched player name "Sweatt" in VCP and nothing came up. Not definitive but adding that to the knowledge base.

Do you have a Greason? He played for the Indians in Oklahoma City
Local news had a special on him last night

If you REALLY want a playing days item of Sweatt, there are a couple of 1920’s KC Monarchs original team photos including a 1924 NL World Series panorama, which should include him (you would have to verify that, I never checked for him). That’s a 5 figure piece, so very pricey.

Don’t have the Greason but have looked at him in the past. Great looking card. I spent a lot of time looking for a Bullet Joe Rogan but he’s another one that doesn’t seem to have anything from his playing days. (Aside from some type 1 photos)

As much as I would love to find something, I’m not that guy.
