Saw this on Ebay and had to share with you guys. All sales are final and his other auctions are $1 dollar wrestling cards.
First $250,000.00 takes this baby home.

3-2-count out!!!!!!!!!

It would take 1 million (with finger sticking in side of mouth) dollars to end the auction....as the 250k only gets the first bid....but at least you can buy insurance for 5 bucks.....so really you're SAVING money......haven't seen one of these for a while but let's do be careful.....as there's a million (or was that a billion) of these always on ebay.....pretty funny though....regards

I guess that I read these for you know what's and giggles.

this is definetely a laugher, BONEHEADS !!!!

Bill and Ted's, Sam and Ernie's whatever they call themselves.....I sure as hell hope that they really do not believe it is real. Front wedgies usually solve these problems.

If you have time to respond then take time to bombard them with all kinds of questions....have some fun.

good evening

I agree with Leon. For only $5 to insure it, you can easily afford to take the $250,000 gamble.

He's not sure what tobacco company produced the card. I wonder if I should email him and have him turn it over?

I would love to see the USPS guy's face when he asks for $1,000,000 in insurance on the bubble envelope.

<<< I am not sure what tobacco company made it,there is no card number on it, >>>

With no number on the card, I'd be cautious - it might be a fake ;)

How come everybody is jumping to conclusions here? Look closely at the item description, it doesn't mention anything about the seller finding this card in an old tobacco box in his grandfathers attic nor does it have the statement that the card DOES NOT SAY REPRINT ON IT ANYWHERE. The card looks fairly clean so who knows? Does anyone want to pull the trigger on it and try winning it for the opening bid price? I'm a little short this week so I can't do it.

Better yet, why don't we get about 10 different guys bidding on the card and then retract the bids a few days before the end of the auction... it'd be kind of funny...

Disclaimer - My apologies if you don't have a sense of humor and were offended by the last comment.

but those bottom corners and the top left are cut off in the scan! They might be TOTALLY ragged! How could the seller think we'd fall for such a scam- like we wouldn't notice the 4 corners weren't shown!

well, normally, I wouldn't bid on that auction, either. But since the seller says he/she is "tring (yes- "tring") to make life better for sons", I'm getting out my checkbook right now...

Unfortunately, this seller may be the kind who brings those "YOU may HAVE WON $1,000,000" letters down to the bank to cash 'em.

Speaking of $1,000,000 (the starting price on this auction), how much does Ebay charge for listing an item with a starting price of $1 million?

I think someone should use the $1 000 000 BuyItNow. Someone with a large feedback rating or a secondary account. Let these clowns get a $10000 bill for the fees.

if they are stupid enough to try a half baked scam, they are probably stupid enough to sweat for a while until they realize they can do the non paying bidder thing. who knows, maybe you can fish them along long enough to stick them with the fee.

Auction ended (buy it now). This is funny. Now someone has to pay, correct?
Both the seller and buyer should be banned from e-bay when transaction does not complete.

The amusing thing is that the winning bidder has low feedbacks, a history of paying but only bids on Basketball trading cards...in most all the cases, under $1 items. Now we are to believe that after paying .69 for a Josh Childress rookie card, he will shell out a million dollars for a Honus?

Okay, it gets better!

A new listing, brand new to eBay, no scan, zero feedbacks, trying to help his family out and THIS PERSON IS ANSWERING BACK his critics on the eBay page.

Q: Why are you selling the card so high? Beckett puts the price at most $400,000. Stop with the scamming

A: First it's my card.Look on the cover of this weeks SI! This is no scam.If you live in Georgia the card can be seen in person!Thank you!!!

Q: Maybe you should make life better for your two sons by investing in some spelling lessons. I am shocked that you would use Mastronet in your auction. They...more

A: You should'nt judge. And I'm sorry if you don't know what haggle is.Give the wise cracks a rest. And for yours and others info. I've already been in contact...more

Q: Make life better for your two sons by setting a decent example.

A: Find something else to do other than haggle me.What you're doing isn't decent. People place items up for bid everyday.

Q: the mastronet reference is a nice touch,i'm sure you will enjoy speaking to their lawers about this when they contact you.

A: Don't be so mean. I'm only giving the description of a card that belongs to me.Lawyers are not necessary.

DJ

I asked if he'd accept Confederate money. Of course, I'd never spend good, hard Confederate cash on a reprint.

Response from ms4epg1
Item: 1909 T206 HONUS WAGNER (5217817439)
This message was sent while the listing was active.
ms4epg1 is a potential buyer.

Would it be alright if I came over with an SGC representative to take a look at the card in person?

Dennis, I asked the seller and that's a typo. The $1.5 million is the shipping cost. Padded envelope costs extra.
