Default Sterling Pickups

I'm happy to finally pick up another E105. I won it for less that my ceiling; honest auctions are cool.

Lost out on an Orange Border common I needed which went waaay higher than I figured it would. Did pick up a neat e97 color variation though - e97 Birmingham in a white uniform. The card I won is on the left. How the Birmingham normally looks is on the right. Looks like the one I won missed a blue color pass for sure, maybe a grey one too.

Don't think I didn't look before posting! My collection probably has an SGC 60 with a crease that I just haven't seen yet!

Default sterling

I bid on a couple dozen items but won just one for the ole type collection--the Muddy crispette.
The most amazing thing to me is I paid this morning and have already received a note that the package is on the way. Now that is what I call incredible service.
Top shelf, Brian. This was my first auction with sterling but I can assure you that it will be one of many to come---and i'll make sure that i'm around to
bid again and again into the night.
all the best,
barry

I'll echo all the positive comments that have been made about Brian's auction. Shipping for my card was only $5 AND they had it on it's way to me before I even paid for it. Will definitely start keeping a closer eye on Sterling moving forward....

This was also my first Sterling auction and came away very happy - I won a handful of items and will take advantage of the free shipping! My big win was the T205 Matty. I have passed on similar cards in this grade and this one just really appealed to me.

Congrats to all the winners! I wanted the 1929 Star Player Candy card of WaJo, even though it is in pathetic condition. I decided in advance that my limit was $1K, and frankly, I thought it would go for less. Wrong again!! But, I stayed with my limit, so I didn't win it. Oh well, this leaves me with more $$ to spend at the National! If a Net 54er won this card and ever loses interest in it, kindly LMK.

Missed on the Gibson and Birmingham blank backs which I lukewarmly pursued but I lost out on the Victory Wagner and I should have gone harder at the end. Congrats to Brian and Jim on the blank backs and whomever won the Wagner.
Nice auction...

I picked up this beauty in the auction. It will be a nice upgrade to the PSA2 that I already own.

More importantly, though, I wanted to thank Brian for running his auction so efficiently. From a consumer's standpoint that is tremendously important. The board gets so many negative comments of auctions regarding delays, misunderstandings, misrepresentations, excessive shipping costs, etc. When I reflected over my recent experience with Brian's auction, it occurred to me that within fewer than 11 hours, I bid on this card, won the card, was invoiced for the card, paid for the card, received my receipt for payment of the card AND was provided a shipping tracking number for this card. I was probably asleep for 6.5 of those 11 hours!

Thanks again Brian for a great auction!

Won 22 lots of smaller $ cards. Like the free shipping or using the Paypal payment option.
Wish that every auction house would offer the same.
Thanks Brian for running a top notch auction.

Default Sterling Set Killer

This 36 Goudey Crosetti finishes the set for me...after a few years idling needing just Frankie and Hank Greenberg (which I picked up earlier this month from Mark Macrae in Seattle)

I also got a couple more modern SGC HOFers to add to that complilation, link to which is in my signature below.

Always a great collector focused auction, and so well run!!

Mrvster - I really liked the Bradley and regret not going higher on it. I was maybe the 3rd highest bid. Since my oddball collection focuses on E cards and m116s, That would have been my first venture into t206 oddball cards too!

In the Sterling Auction terms and conditions I did not find any information about free shipping when payment is made by check. How does that work?

It was in the email that was sent as well as printed on the winners invoice.

Thanks everyone for participating. This was a very fun auction for me to run and I'm glad that so many of you were able to pick up some items from it.

The free shipping offer is valid on invoices over $400 that are paid by check or money order.

Brian
