Default T205 scrapbook page

Did anyone else see this or bid on it. I thought it went cheap and a few look like AB's. Very neat item.

The big question is whether or not they were affixed with water-soluble glue; otherwise, you've just got a piece for framing, if you are into that.

Hi Andrew

I saw this auction before it ended and spent a few moments taking a closer look.

Nice ending price...$12 and change per card.

Hope all those guys know how to swim.

In my experiences most of the older scrapbooks did use water soluble type glue or paste. Good luck getting those off. I think they will swim well. (not positive though)

Cool page, sure would be cool if there was Broad Leaf or even a Hindu or Drum back there. I never even saw it while it was live...

color me negative nellie, but unless there's some tough backs the player selection would not seem to justify the cost...there's a lot of $10 cards there IMO if they just come of so-so and T205s hardly fly off the table, but then again, I am often wrong.

A 205 usually brings $15-30 in most of those conditions not to mention the few HOf'ers. If any of those are rare backs it's a big score.

T205s with back damage typically bring $10-$12 in this condition...if you can get it off the page with just staining...$13-$15 except for the HOFers which should bring more. If it is rare backs (which I doubt because often collections like this are all one or two backs and the Crandall is only found with the common piedmont 25 back) then it can be more. I do not think this was a steal at all but just about right. Time and money might be involved in removing the cards as well. My snipe was literally $3 cheaper than where it ended...

It's a big 'if' just getting it off without paper loss. Most of the time water-soluble glue was used, but that is far from guaranteed.

That's funny you say that Josh. A look at the T205 site has it confirmed by you as having a SC Red back also. This just another card that you confirmed from your super duper checklist that is inaccurate. Say what you want but I think you gave false info to Ron as to not have an accurate list. No way your gonna confirm it then turn around and say it only comes with one back now. Plus there are a lot of corrections made already removing your so called confirmed cards.

Here we go... Let's please not turn this into another who's got the biggest dick contest. Everyone just looks like a dick in the end.

Andrew,

Sorry...you are correct, I have it confirmed with both Piedmont 25 and Sweet Cap...I just picked up the list and did not run my finger all the way across...sorry for the mistake...as for accusing me of false information, that is just plain wrong. I gave him my info on good faith and it was collected by hand starting before ebay...is some of my data off...probably, I never said I was perfect. I just do not understand why you continue to attack me...really, accusing me of purposely providing false data is just plain ignorant.

I have a pretty solid reputation in the baseball card world. I gained that by listening more than speaking. By acknowledging when I was wrong and trying to fix my mistakes. By being honest and up front and by being fair.

Never once have I attacked you personally...that is what this is. I made a mistake, I quickly glanced at my list and posted...sorry...but here is a sweet cap red with t not crossed on ebay right now...so it is not false information that I provided.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/T205-T-205-S...item4d08fdaa72

Like I have said before...if you disagree with me fine...but do not attack my integrity.

Joshua

Josh and Andrew- thanks for coming back to civility.

Andrew- people make mistakes. Let's politely let folks know of our disagreement, if we can, in a non-threatening and nice way. Then if all else fails we can all pile on . No, just kidding. But it would be nice if everyone were nicer to each other on the board for a while. There has been a bit too much fighting lately. I would appreciate it as well as a lot of other members would. thanks!!
