Default Losing patience with fake cards on e-bay

The guy with the 33 Ruth, after all the emails we exchanged and his pleading ignorance, has put the darned thing back up for sale! I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1044167084

Honestly, I really do collect cards.

Dont you think $2 is a little high just to ship one card? You should have put this card in a PRO holder instead of the Gehringer(funny, good job by the way) ......seriously,I would buy it but im looking for a Larry Corcoran T206,could you make me one of those?.....Thanks,John

E-bay made it clear to me that they couldn't care less if this guy sold a reprint as a "could be real" even thought he bought it as a reprint (the 33 Goudey). I'm stating point-blank that my card's a reprint (and it is - I made two!), so they would be real hypocrites if they pull my auction. Hopefully there's no law against sounding like you're from West Virginia. I know, most of these guys are from Kentucky, but I suspect they migrated...

I thought my $1.50 bid was going to be enough, but someone sure wants this one of a kind card.

Hey, maybe we'll see this card in Topps T206 reprint set and than the winner might really have something!!!

I guess all we can do is try to keep all people on the board informed of these reprints.

Thanks for making my addiction a much happier experience.

By the way when your done with your Hooked On Phonics I know some people that could use it.

Lee

...I also recently found a very confused "cross-eyed" Honus card. I think it was fine before my dog started chewing it (she found it underneath a very old fire hydrant).

as a card-carrying member of the great bluegrass state of Kentucky, I resemble the fact that you're dogging all those reprinters! Only our buddy Btuttle is a KY boy. I would assume he's a University of KY fan, not a Louisville fan like myself. Anyway, funny thing. I always wanted to do something like that but just didn't. Glad someone did.......

If I ever needed one last really expensive card for a set and couldn't afford it, I would consider commissioning Tuttle to make me one. By the way, I love Kentucky and have visited there several times - I have a friend in Lexington who occasionally drags me to that awful stadium in nearby Cincinnati!

Definitely one of a kind- might have to break out that automatic sniping program for this one- if it doesn't get me banned from anyones auction!

The only thing worse than a card forger is a QUITTER who ends his auctions early just because he sold his rare card to some Swiss Banker with oodles of jack!!!

Except for the ebay listing that was offering an a** kicking for the highest bidder, that is the funniest thing I've ever seen on ebay.

Thank you for the laugh, I needed it.

I had made a decision to stop buying Christmas presents for my family to buy this one of a kind card. I got notice this morning the auction had been cancelled. I guess Mom will get her entertainment center.

You thought Grinch Stole Christmas, Scott almost did the same.

Happy Holidays,

Lee
